Northern Brew: American Cheesy Burger, Three Cheese Pasta, Pesto Cheesesticks, Northern Frappe and the Retikano Green Shake

We were out on a Saturday Night (after a long time apart, because Gab is working now.) to celebrate our late Monthsary and Mimi's Birthday, so Gab decided to head back to place where he and his friends used to hanged out during the weekends. Its a little Cafe in Angeles City, where good food and good people get together. Its been around for years, so we can say thats its a namestay in Pampanga. Northern Brew is a little Cafe, hidden in a suburb of Angeles City. Serving the usual Coffee Drinks, it also has a variety of food items in the menu, as well as desserts to cater to your Sweet Tooth.


 Up for review, American Cheesy Burger, Three Cheese Pasta, Pesto Cheesesticks, Northern Frappe and the Retikano Green Shake.

THE VERDICT

He Says: Northern Brew has been a favorite High School. My friends and I have been going here since we first discovered it. I haven't seen back since 2006, and it's still great! The American Cheesy Burger has been my preference since my first visit. Juicy and made from Real Beef. Not the artificial stuff that most fast food joints sell. The Northern Frappe beats almost any coffee drink I've had. Real Coffee with complementing Coffee Jelly. Simply the best. The Pesto Cheese Sticks have been on the menu for a long while, but I just never got the chance to try them. They're really good. Its not the usual bland flavored rolls, its legit. The Three Cheese Pasta is rich and creamy. It has a slight hint of Pimiento, but the cheeziness sticks out. The Reitkano Green Tea Shake isn't what it seems. Normally, it might be a Green Tea flavored drink, but its sweet and buttery. Definitely trying this again.

She Says: It's good to try something new every so often and so we did. The northern frappe was good. The pesto cheese sticks is now a favorite. I wouldn't mid going back for more of those pesto cheese sticks. The American Cheesy Burger was very tasty and "beefy". haha. The three cheese pasta didn't quite meet my standards as a cheese lover. I tasted like green bell pepper and cream. The Rektikano Green Tea Shake was sweet and creamy. Very fattening. hahaha

Krispy Kreme Parking Ticket

In Pampanga, Malls don't have parking fees. Parking attendants give you tickets that you surrender when you leave the premises of the mall. Marquee Mall in Angeles City gives out electronic cards that keep the plate number of the corresponding car. Not only does it have function, it also has promos with a few establishments in the Mall. This one was for Krispy Kreme. If you buy a Doughnut, you get a free 8.oz size coffee. 

This is a really cool idea.

North Park: Lechon Macau, Fresh Prawn Dumpling, Fresh Lemonade & Pink Lemonade

We were in Marquee Mall with Gab's friend, Ralph, and we decided to have a little chit-chat and downtime over some lunch. We had no clue where to eat, and since Gab has not tried it yet, we decided to head over to North Park. North Park serves traditional Chinese Fastfood, Rice, Noodles and soups. They've been around for a while, competing with the likes of Super Bowl, Mann Hann and David's Tea House.

THE VERDICT

He Says: I loved the Lechon Macau. It's Crispy Lechon Liempo with some really good Fried Rice. It's not salty or oily. It's cooked right and tastes really good. I'm definitely going back for this. The Fresh Prawn Dumpling is your typical noodle dish. Packed with noodles, a dumpling and soup. The dumpling is good, but the serving size isn't my thing. I won't be satisfied by it's size, but the taste is worth it. The Fresh Lemonade, is what I believe, to be very LEGIT Juice. Made from Freshly-Squeezed Lemons, it's really tangy and fruity. The Pink Lemonade packs a mean...well...punch. Not bad.

She Says: I love dumplings! Serving size was good enough for me, I actually couldn't finish everything :)) The Lechon was super tasty! Mouthwatering! They also have really good lemonade more sour than sweet while the pink lemonade was more sweet than sour.

Cioccolo's: Mudslide, Vanilla Bailey's & Velvet Creme Brulee Cake

It was a night out for us, and we had just come from a very good dinner. We wanted to catch some dessert and spend a little more time out together, so we hit up Gab's favorite High School hangout, Cioccolo's. It's a best kept secret, being that it is found a secluded area around Angeles City. Located within the premises of the Grand Palazzo Royale, the place looks like a very classy place.

THE VERDICT

He Says: Cioccolo has always been a favorite. I just haven't been around to hang out here again. The place is still pretty good and it's gotten bigger and better. Moving on, the Mudslide wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst. It's pretty decent, considering it tasted a lot like Peanut Butter. Plus the drink got better when you're about to finish it. The Vanilla Bailey's was something. Creamy Vanilla with that kick of Bailey's. I'm gonna order this again when we come back. The Velvet Creme Brulee was a surprise. I'm a big fan of their Ferrero Cake, but this one has become a new favorite. Really, really good. White Chocolate with that distinct Cheesecake flavor at the end. Must order this again too!

She Says: This area is a bit secluded but it's lovely. You drive through rows of trees decorated with christmas lights and at the end you'll see the Grand Palazzo Royale. Gab's Mudslide tasted like really good peanut butter :))) It's not bad, it's just not for people like me who don't like peanut butter. The Vanilla Baileys was something that I did not have second thoughts with. Baileys is my favorite Irish Cream and having it in my drink was just heaven. It was really good but not as good as the Velvet Creme Brulee Cake. I haven't tasted any cake like it before. I was actually craving it a day after and two days after and i'm still looking forward to having it again the next time i'm in Pampanga.

C's Italian Dining: Pasta Roberto, Nina Panitizza, Lemon & Watermelon Italian Soda

We were out to celebrate our 29th month together, so Gab decided to make the occasion a little special. We hit C's Italian Dining out in Angeles City. It's 20-25 minute drive from San Fernando and is located near Korea Town and Clark. C's has authentic Italian Cuisine and has fast-growing reputation with people all over. Celebrities, politicians, businessmen, families, all come over to this exquisite restaurant to chow down on some quality food.

Not bad for some good Italian Cuisine

THE VERDICT

He Says: C's has been a family favorite. The entire family comes over to chow down on really good food and share conversation. First off, the Pasta Roberto has been a staple in my family's orders, and it's becoming a favorite of mine. The creaminess of the White Sauce and the slight sourness from the Sundried Tomatoes packed with the tenderness of the Chicken Breast really pack a punch. The dish may appear small, but don't let that fool you. It's quite heavy on the stomach. The Nina Panitizza lives up to the hype. Cheezy, meaty, thin, crispy and flavorful slices of Panitizza best eaten with the alfalfa sprouts and greens make it a really good combo. Simply the best! To quench the thirst, the Italian Sodas are the simply amazing. Bubbly, fruity and cool. Nothing beats it's kick. The only downside to C's is the price of the food. It's not exactly cheap, but it isn't super expensive. My suggestions would only be, come loaded with cash and come hungry. You're in for a treat!

She Says: I've eaten in a lot of Italian restaurants in my life but this place just sky rocketed to the top of my list. The Panizza was tasty and very fun to eat!  The big chucks of bacon were sooo good. The Pasta Roberto was heavy. It was very creamy and it wend great with the sundried tomatoes and the chunks of chicken. The italian soda's were just right :) Bubbly and refreshing. Food was really good and I do not see any reason why we shouldn't go back.  The price is a little steep though but it's all worth it. This place does not disappoint.

A La Creme: Mudslide Malt, Caramel Banana Walnut & Mango Creme

We were hanging around the Angeles City area, waiting for Gia's show to come on, so we decided to hit up one of Gab's favorite dessert spots in Pampanga. A La Creme has been around for quite some, and Gab and his friends have been going to this place for some tasty dishes and desserts.

THE VERDICT

He Says: A La Creme has there for me since High School. Haha. The Mudslide Malt has always been my favorite. Chocolately, just the way I like it. Sweet, but not too sweet. Something to keep you cool in the Philippine Climate. Normally, I don't order the Caramel Banana Walnut, but I'm still diggin' it. Crunchy walnuts and the great combo of Chocolate-Banana-Vanilla Ice Cream. The Mango Creme is something I might consider ordering again. I'm not big on Mangoes, but I'll probably make an exception to this.

She Says: The Mudslide Malt is pretty good. It's bitter and a bit sweet. It was sorta hard to drink it from the big straw but I managed :)  The crepes were good, waiting time was terrible though. We had to wait 30 minutes for our crepes :| The crepes were too thick too. We might go back to try their meals instead :)
