7th High Lounge: Four Cheese Pizza, Carbonara & Cheeseburger Rolls

We were out on a Tuesday Night (Gab had work the next day, but he didn't pay no mind to it) with Mimi's good friend and boss, Marc AKA Bam-Bam, to watch our friend David's gig at 7th High Lounge. Normally, one wouldn't go to the 7th High Lounge to have dinner, unless you're loaded and plan on drinking as well. But surprisingly, it has some really good food at good prices (assuming you come in on a day where there is no cover charge).

Up for review: Four Cheese Pizza, Cheeseburger Spring Rolls & Carbonara.

THE VERDICT

He Says: I'm actually surprised that the food at 7th High turned out pretty good. I thought the prices were outrageous at first, but to my surprise, it wasn't at all. The Four Cheese Pizza was probably one of the best pizza I've had in a long while. Really stringy cheese and cheese flavor bursting in your mouth. The Pizza was really crunchy too, adding that extra crisp to every bite. The Cheeseburger Spring Rolls were the BEST! Small, but pack a punch on flavors. The Carbonara was probably the biggest surprise for me. I thought it would just be that generic-bland flavored pasta dish served almost anywhere. It wasn't. Creamy, thick sauce with lots of bacon. Need I say more? It's really good.

Rating: Four-Cheese Pizza =  10/10; Carbonara = 9.5/10; Cheesburger Spring Rolls = 10/10

She Says: The food was not expensive as we thought it would be. The four cheese pizza triggered my taste buds as it reminded me of on of my favorite pizza places(Ponzo's). The cheese was so stringy and chewy, I loved every bite. The cheeseburger spring rolls are the best spring rolls i've had so far!  You could really taste the cheeseburger in every bite! The carbonara was very heavy on the stomach. You could really taste the ham and the bacon. Two thumbs up!

30 INCH Pizza

It was the night of Gab's Birthday, and he wanted more food for his guests for the celebration. We cooked our own food, but we felt like it wasn't enough for the guests coming over. We discovered a pizza place nearby, called 30 Inch Pizza & Pasta. They're a little known place around Pampanga, and their spot is a little hard to find. They're Pizza is REALLY BIG. 30 Inches for Dough, Cheese, Sauce and a couple of toppings.

THE VERDICT

He Says: It isn't exactly the best pizza I've had, but it's enough to feed my guests. The flavors are pretty basic, nothing special about the pizza except the size. If you have it Square-Cut, you'll be able to feed even more people. Again, nothing special. Just plain, big pizza.

Rating: 7/10

She Says: Besides its size, there's nothing special about it. I think we got this for 800php. Not bad for the price.

California Pizza Kitchen: Carbonara and Hawaiian BBQ Pizza

Pizza, anyone? Where's a good place to chill, good food and delicious pizza and pasta? You'd think this place, that place, but we're pretty sure you're not thinking about California Pizza Kitchen. CPK is really good restaurant with a good vibe and good food. Up for review, Hawaiian BBQ Pizza and Carbonara.

Um. Gangsta Harry Potter? Haha.

Quick view of the place

A little ouch on the wallet.

THE VERDICT

He Says: I want my resto to look like this place. The vibe is just so chill, plus it has a great view. Moving on to the food. The Carbonara is very creamy and good. Thick enough and flavorful. Downside is that it's a little small. Love and I bought a sharing size place, but it wasn't enough. The Pizza is something. Sweet and Tangy BBQ Sauce with good Chicken. Definitely coming back for it. I wanna try their Salad too. I heard it's good.

Rating: Pizza = 10/10; Carbonara = 9/10

She Says: I've been a fan of this place since I was young and it's still one of my favorite places to eat! Their pizza, tasty! you can really taste the fresh ingredients and serving time is really quick. I also found their serving size just right :) I don't think Gab remembers how FULL we were when we ate there. haha. The place is very chill. The staff are very attentive to our needs. We just turn our heads and they come right up. :)) We will definitely come back :)

Pizza Pedrico's

Convenience Store are not your usual food stops. They have chips and other stuff to take home and stock for future consumption. Shops such as 711 and Mini Stop carry fast food such as Hotdogs, Donuts and Siopao. 10Q a local c-store around Taft Avenue have mini pizza's from Pizza Pedrico's. With 3 flavors to choose from, you're in for a treat from this tiny terror. Pizza Pedrico's Mini Pizza is up!

Cheese and Cheese and Chorizo and Cheese,

Meet  our friend who's also a big fan of their Pizza :)

THE VERDICT

He Says: This has been a favorite. At 39PHP, you get good pizza. It's small, though. Good for snacking and suppressing quick bursts of hunger. It definitely quiets your appetite and it's easy to eat. Not something for big guys, like me though. We may need 2-3 boxes of this pizza to eat. Haha.

Rating: 9/10

She Says: Really Good! Try it yourself! It's something I snack on when I get hungry in between classes :)

Chef d' Angelo: Pizza, Pasta and Salad ALL YOU CAN!

A lot of Pizza and Pasta places have their own strategies to get customers. Cut prices, promos and free stuff are just some of the many ways to get people to eat at their resto. Chef D'Angelo gives people a Pizza, Pasta and Salad All You Can at 150 from 2 - 4pm and 6 - 9pm. We decided to check it out. Here it is...

THE VERDICT

He Says: Not your ordinary place to have a buffet, but they did good on this. Their Salad lacked a little flavor. Their Caesar dressing felt a little thin, but it was good enough to suppress my Salad craving. Their Pizzas are always knockouts. One of the best, but a little small. Their Pasta was good, but only the White Sauce. The Tomato Sauce felt a little weird. If you're hungry, you gotta try this Eat All You Can.

Rating = Pizza = 9/10; Pasta = 8/10; Salad = 8/10; Soup = 9/10

She Says: We've been to many other buffets before and when I saw their buffet table I thought I wouldn't be satisfied at all. Because it was reasonably priced at 150php, we decided to try it out. Surprisingly, I was already really full after 2 plates :| You'll definitely make the most of your 150php!

Pizzeria: A Venetto [TAKE 2]

A-Venetto. Pizza and Pasta. A favorite for us. Whenever we're at MOA, we never fail to consider this place for either Lunch or Dinner. They have good pasta and pizza. We tried something new, and we went back to old favorites. Up for review: Double Cheese, Bacon and Sausage Pizza, Double Cheese, Mushroom and Pineapple Pizza, Lasagna and the Cheddar Cheese Pops.

Take a look at our other review HERE

THE VERDICT

He Says: The Pizza was good. It's a custom made pizza. The Double Cheese, Bacon and Sausage was a very good experiment of meat and cheese. I'd order it again. The Lasagna, flavorful and yummy as ever. Maybe a little cheesier than usual. The Cheese Pops, felt like Tater Tots. There was little cheese, but it was good enough to keep to satisfied until the big meals come.

Rating: Pizza = 10/10; Lasagna = 10/10; Cheese Pops = 7/10

She Says: It's as good as I remembered it. Definitely a place for cheese, pasta and pizza lovers like me :) The cheese pops were disappointing. All I could taste were potatoes :( The Lasagna was really meaty and cheesy. You're in for a treat!

Rating: Pizza = 10/10; Lasagna = 10/10; Cheese Pops = 3/10

Marciano's and Red Box at Greenbelt :)

Greenbelt has a wide variety of restaurants and gimmick spots. It's a very long chain of great food places such as YakiMix, Italiannis and Bizu. One place that caught our attention on our 20th Monthsary was Marciano's. The interior design was great for dates! It would've been better if they lit up the room just a teeny weeny bit more.

Marciano's is restaurant that serves Italian and American Dishes. Steaks, pasta and pizza are just some things on their menu. It's from the makers of John and Yoko, so one could expect good things from this place. Up for review, Marciano's.

Four Cheese Pizza

Vanilla Milkshake.

One thing we've always done after we eat is go out do something fun. This time, we decide to hit Red Box, a very good karaoke bar with all the latest tracks to sing a long to. They serve drinks and food, so the fun can keep going on.

THE VERDICT

He Says: Normally, Love and I wouldn't go out of our way to try new restaurants. I guess our 20th Monthsary was an exemption. Marciano's is a good place to try out. It's not cheap, but it's a little well worth it. The Tenderloin Steak was juicy and really good. It's legit and the siding of Hungarian Sausage and Potato Wedges made it worth the price. The Legally Blonde was a little bland for me. It could barely taste the cheese, but at least it wasn't bad. The Four Cheese Pizza was good. Minus the tomatoes, I would have chowed down more that my share of the whole pizza. The Vanilla Milkshake is nothing special. I've had better. The Watermelon shake, well, not really my thing. Overall, Marciano's is real good, provided you have the money to spend.

Rating: Steak = 9/10; Milkshake = 8/10; Pasta = 7/10; Pizza = 9/10; Watermelon Shake = 5/10

She Says: Love's right when he said that the price was well worth it. The Hungarian sausage was sort of dry but the steak was worth the wait. I did not like the legally blond, I am a confessed cheese lover but even I still found it too strong for my taste buds. The four cheese pizza reminded me of Ponzo's pizza only with less cheese. It was good but i've had better. The vanilla milkshake was yummy and the watermelon shake was better than what I expected. Overall, I wouldn't mind coming back. I just don't think i'll be craving/wanting to visit anytime soon.

Rating: Steak = 9/10; Milkshake = 10/10; Pasta = 7/10; Pizza = 9/10; Watermelon Shake = 10/10
