We love our milk tea and one of our favorite places to go when we're craving is Tea Central. Here's a photo of Gab and Me enjoying our Milk Tea at our favorite place to chill around Taft. Whenever we have nothing to do or just looking for some place to chill, this is the first place we think of. We love coming back here because the drinks are GREAT! The staff are REALLY FRIENDLY, and the ambiance of the place is very chill. 


If you're looking for a place to study or hang out with friends you guys can drop by Tea Central. It's located at the 2nd floor D' Students Place, Taft Avenue. It's right above 
Starbucks. Their stor hours are Monday-Saturday 9:00am-7:00pm.

Jollibee: Chicken Nugget Crunchers and Watermelon

One Sunday Afternoon, we were with Mimi's Family and decided to lunch at the nearby Jollibee in Shell - Magallanes Village. We ordered our usual, with the exception of the new Jollibee Chicken Nugget Crunchers and the Watermelon Shake. The nuggets are packed in with carrots and BBQ Sauce and it's Jollibee's ploy to go up against McDonalds. Up for review, Jollibee Chicken Nugget Crunchers and Watermelon Shake.

THE VERDICT

He Says: The Nuggets weren't what they lived up to be for me. They're thin and small (compared to their competitor). Flavorless without the BBQ Sauce which I think tastes like McDonalds BBQ sauce. I think the Carrots didn't do it any justice. I probably won't be looking for this anytime soon. Moving on, the Watermelon Shake was pretty good although it tasted a little bit like Bubble Gum. Nothing wrong there, but the fact they called it a Watermelon Shake. With that aside, it's good enough to keep you cool.

Rating: Nuggets = 6/10; Watermelon Shake = 8/10

She Says: The nuggets are okay. They taste sorta like the nuggets in McDonalds. Only these were not as firm and they were a lot easier to chew. The BBQ sauce did taste like the one from McDonals. (I guess we just can't help but compare). The watermelon shake was good! It could be improved with a little more watermelon flavor but good :)

Flaming Wings: Hunger Buster Meals (Tenders) and Chicken Parmigiana

Flaming Wings has always been a favorite around the Taft Area. It's been around for quite some time and we have not eaten here in a VERY LONG TIME. Deciding to go back, we ordered our usual. The Hunger Buster Meal (Tenders) and the Chicken Parmigiana.

THE VERDICT

He Says: I'm disappointed with the Chicken Parmigiana. This has been my favorite from Flaming Wings and to come back to something that's bland, smaller in serving size and plain boring to eat, is something that really gets me. The Tenders Meal has improved in size though. They're slight bigger and more meaty for that it's definitely a plus. 

Rating: Parmigiana = 5/10; Tenders = 9/10

She Says: Now that a lot of people love eating there during their free time, they need to hire more staff. I believe that their branch in Taft is understaffed. The quality of their food is really good though. Their Hunger Buster Meal is so much better now than it was before! I can't say the same for the Chicken Parmigiana though. It decreased in size and you could hardly taste the sauce in the pasta. I'd recommend that you guys try the Double Porkchop if you're really hungry but i'm not so sure it it's gonna be the same as it was before.

When it comes to White Cheddar Popcorn, we have our own preference. When Gab hit up S&R with his Dad one time, we discovered a new kind of White Cheddar Popcorn packed into a Potato Chip Bag.

THE VERDICT

He Says: The minute I opened my first bag and tasted it, I was ADDICTED. Simply one of the best popcorn I've ever had. It's cheezy and easy to eat. Almost no oils and is better than your average popcorn. I'm heading back to S&R and picking up a couple more bags.

Rating = 10/10

She Says: I love white cheddar popcorn and I was really looking forward to trying this one. There are no kernels and ALL of them were covered with white cheddar :] REALLY GOOD! Wanna know the best part? the powder doesn't stick and thicken at your fingertips!

TriNoMa is packed full of shops, stores and foods places. You have brands such as McDonalds, KFC, YakiMix, Pizza Hut and TGI Fridays. One place that we've been dying to go to is Five Cows. Five Cows is restaurant famous for good desserts and good meals.

THE VERDICT

He Says: I'll do this one by one. Haha. The Steak Pizzaiola. It's nothing like I've ever tasted. The Steak goes really well with the tomato sauce they put in, plus the meal is cooked to perfection. Juicy and tasty. The Creamy Beef & Mushroom was good too. The cream was thick and flavorful, and I liked the bread with it. The Ultimate Milkshake, it is to say, ULTIMATE. It is officially one of my favorite Milkshakes! It is thick and sweet, just to my liking. Lastly, THE FLAMING ALASKA. I really like how they dim the lights and burn the Ice Cream Cake. I've never seen a restaurant do that. The it's WICKED. It doesn't taste burnt and the Ice Cream doesn't melt fast. Really good and a must order anytime you go there to eat.

She Says: The steak was bursting with flavor from the sauce. It was good, a little too much tomatoes though. The creamy beef and mushroom is my favorite! They were very generous with beef strips and mushrooms and the sauce was nice and thick. yummy! Their milkshake is my ultimate favorite! how redundant was that? haha. It's one of my favorites and i'll definitely come back for more :) Their flaming alaska is an eye catcher, you'll find out what that staff do to make it a little more enjoyable if you order it :) it's really good. The hint of alcohol makes it taste even better. I suggest that you order it if there are at LEAST 3 people who will dine with you.
