Cheeseburger stuffed crust at Pizza Hut!

Mimi really wanted to try it when it first came out but we never got a chance to because we were always so busy. Then we finally found the time and we got to try it!

It was a big disappointment for both of us cause we are both fans of their line of stuffed crust and this one was just not up to par with the rest. The crust at the bottom of the burger patty was really soggy. It felt as if we were eating a soggy sandwich. We thought the patty needed more seasoning because it tasted bland.

Over all, we are not ordering this again unless you guys say that the pizza you had was not soggy and bland. Only then would we consider giving it another try.

Tea.ology

Tea.ology is along Katipunan Ave right across Ateneo de Manila. The place was a little hard to find since we don't frequent the places up north. We've tried milk tea from different stores and were curious how this store was different. We decided to give it a shot, we think that it's good to try new things every once in a while  :)

Here's the facade

The place gives off a homey feel with the lighting and the comfortable seats. It's a good place to study or catch up with friends.

Here are the different drinks we got to try, we'll tell you about our favorites later!

After trying a couple of their drinks we were allowed to choose whatever we wanted from the menu to take home .

Like any other tea place they served finger food. But unlike the others, they serve chicken nuggets with BBQ sauce, Crispy Potato Puffs and Cheese Filled Hash Browns. We bought one order of the chicken nuggets and cheese filled hash browns to take home because they were pretty good!

These wonderful people attended to us during our stay there and we did have a great experience! Two of the three owners (the ones in black and white) were happy to answer our  inquiries regarding how they make their drinks and what goes into concocting new flavors.

Tea.ology uses freshly brewed tea in making their drinks which ensures the really good quality. Our favorites were the Honey Cinnamon Milk Tea (warm), Frosted Chocolate Milk tea and their Dark Chocolate Milk Tea.

If you're aroud the area it wouldn't hurt to try something new so drop by Tea.ology! They are located at Xanland Place Condo, Katipunan Avenue, Quezon City.

KFC Tower Burger

KFC isn't really known for their Burgers. Sure, they have the Zinger and the Chicken Fillets, but their most identified for their Chicken. KFC has released their bid to battle Burger Titans such as McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's and Jollibee. The Tower Burger is made up for KFC's signature Chicken Fillet, Greens, Cheese, Mayo and a Hashbrown.

It's said to be 3 inches tall.

THE VERDICT

He Says: I've had this before at the KFC-Taft Branch before it went public. They had it and removed it and then they brought it back again. Nothing has changed since then. It take like any other KFC Chicken Burger. The upside is that it's bigger that any other of the their burgers and it has a hashbrown. The downside of it, the hashbrown is nothing but air and it can get messy when you bite of it. There's nothing special about, but it's worth eating it only when you crave for it.

Rating: 7/10

She Says: Nothing special. I wouldn't bother ordering this again and i'd doubt i'd be craving for it anytime soon. I love everything else in KFC, I guess this one just isn't for me.

Yakimix: Mall of Asia (Lunch vs. Dinner)

DINNER AT YAKIMIX

 We got there around 7pm and we got in a little past 9pm but it was sooooo worth it!

The food (according to Mimi) was not be superb in taste but it was good enough to satisfy our cravings and to fill our tummys!

Gab enjoyed grilling all these and more!

oh and they're ice cream is just the regular Selecta ice creams in different flavors but what really got us were the toppings!

LUNCH AT YAKIMIX

To celebrate our 17th month together, we went to yakimix to have lunch. Based on our previous experience (which was dinner) we wanted to call and reserve a table for us but since we were up hecka early because Mimi had to pay tuition we ended up in MOA earlier than expected. The buffet opens at 11am for lunch and we are happy to say that we opened up the place! hahaha. We were the first ones there :)

THE VERDICT

He Says:  Although it isn't they're specialty, the salad was awful. The croutons were sweet and the Ranch seemed to add to the sweetness a little too much. Also, they're Tempura is better during Lunch as to having them at Dinner time. A lot of people roll in, so I guess the quality of each batch declines. Choosing the time to go there, I'd rather head there for Lunch. The quality of food is A LOT BETTER THAN DINNER. The buffet is the fresher batch compared to the Dinner batch. Plus, Dinner is very hectic. Lots of people roll in during Dinner, because more often than not, that's when they're free.

Rating: 9.5/10

She Says: Yakimix is reasonably priced for someone who is after the variety of their buffet. However, if they're after the quality of their food then you might be disappointed. The taste is good enough to say you've had sushi but I can say that i've definitely had better. For 499PHP during lunch and 580PHP for dinner,you surely get your money's worth :) I'd agree with Gab that the food and the crowd is a lot better during lunch.
