Bizu: Macaron de Paris

We were out at Greenbelt and came from a very good dinner. We wanted to hangout and break Mimi's money, so we decided to hit up Bizu. Bizu is a very classy pastry restaurant. Although they have other food on the menu, they're more popularly known for pastries. Their Macaroons are probably their best sellers. We sat down and grabbed a box of 8.

THE VERDICT

He Says: I've been a big fan of Bizu's Macaron, particularly for their Pistachio and Coffee flavors. Little bite-size treats that gets your sweet tooth going. But it's not for most people, though. They sell at 45PHP at pop and the box go in the hundreds. They're good, but a little pricey. Still a must try.

She Says: These little circles pack a lot of flavor in every bite. It's hard to have just one, but sinful to have more than.

QOOLA: Chocolate Froyo, Raspberry Smoothie and Cinnamon Pancake Bites

We were walking around Greenbelt and we decided that we would try froyo from Qoola. The place is a little isolated from the rest of Greenbelt, but it's a good place to hangout and just take a breather. It's not your typical froyo place, serving other goodies like smoothies and fruits. Up for review, Chocolate Froyo, Raspberry Smoothie and those little Cinnamon Pancake Bites.

THE VERDICT

He Says: The froyo isn't as sweet as other froyos I've tasted. It's slightly bitter, indicating that they might have used Dark Chocolate. Nonetheless, it's pretty good and it appears cheaper compared to other froyo places (100 for 68grams). It's got that semi-sweet feel and it's creamy. The Cinnamon Pancake Bites were a surprise. Though small, they pack a good punch. Classic Cinnamon taste with some maple syrup. Really good. The smoothie, not a big fan. It was okay, but not good enough for me to order again.

She Says: Nothing so special about this place besides the fact that you can get the froyo as a shake. Also, the Pancake bites were cute and tasty :)
