Famous Belgian Waffles

One of the many dilemma's of a college student is deciding where to eat. One of the things we usually think about is where to eat during those short ten minute breaks. Basically, there are three things we look for when thinking about where to eat; It needs to be affordable, filling and can be easily stashed in your bag in case you run out of time.

Up for review: FAMOUS BELGIAN WAFFLES

A couple of meters before you reach Agno food court you will instantly smell the scent of freshly made waffles. The scent just intensifies your craving!

When you get to their stall, you will notice the long line of students who also want to get their hands on a waffle.

After you've placed your order, it takes around five minutes for you to get your waffle.

We tried their bestsellers which were the Blueberry Cream Cheese and the Banana Hazelnut as well as their Banana Chocolate. The waffles were crunchy on the outside while soft and chewy on the inside! We couldn't help but order another batch where we had to try their Ham and Cheddar, Ham and Cream Cheese, and Chocolate Peanut Butter.

Agno: Chicken Lang!

Once you're in Agno, you're in for a world of food choices. Ate Em's, Ate Rica's, Kooks, Pongkizz, GP Catering and a whole lot more. If you go further into the back of Agno, you'll discover this little chicken place called Chicken Lang. They specialize in fried chicken, as well as porkchops and others. It's their Chicken in the spotlight.

THE VERDICT

He Says: A good friend told me about this place. It lived up to the hype. Their chicken is SUPERB! At 75php with UNLI-GRAVY, you're in for a hell of a good chicken experience. It's pretty big and you can really taste the flavor of it. Amazing. Iced Tea goes well with it.

Rating: 9.5/10

She Says: They said it was good so we decided to give it a try. It wasn't bad at all. For 75php the chicken was quite big!

FROZEN ANIMO BANANAS

University Week in the light at DLSU-Manila. Besides the various shows, and talent searches, the highlight of DLSU's University Week has to be the very interesting Bazaar held every year. Different booths for different products. Food is the underlining of what the Bazaar stands for. Featured here is the very interesting, Frozen Banana. It comes in DLSU Green Chocolate (White Chocolate with Green Food Coloring) and the Ordinary Chocolate, garnished with toppings. At around 30-35php, the Frozen Banana delivers a "chilly" yet sweet punch.

Rice Krispies as Toppings.

THE VERDICT

He Says: Bananas are my favorite fruits. I could probably eat a whole bunch in one sitting. The DLSU Frozen Banana was one of the weirdest, yet tastiest desserts I've tried. Green Chocolate? Who would thought right? It's pretty good. At 35php students can buy all they want, provided they have the cash of course. But, if you're conscious about your smile, watch it. It leaves the Green Coloring, but it'll come off once you start licking your teeth.

She Says: I came back to their booth EVERY DAY! Not only were they yummy but they were really cheap too! I am definitely gonna try this out myself one time! :)
